The perfect Matte Black (BLVCK) preset, moody urban tones, nice texture with hints of orange. I love how the black tones look in this image! Try it yourself, its the best moody preset I've ever used, perfect for influencers and instagram!
This preset works great for: Urban photography, adding moody tones, portraits, simplifying images by removing complex colours, your Instagram grid, City photography, Moody vibes.
Colour Pallette: BLVCK, Black, Grey, Slate, Charcoal, Orange, Yellow, Pure White.
This preset includes a dash of secret sauce! Its an editing technique used in Lightroom to make whites really stand out against black backgrounds. Normal black (BLVCK) style presets add a yellow tint to the white tones, which looks good, but not amazing. This is done to enhance the yellow / orange tones. Matte Urban enhances the yellow / orange tones but also keeps the white tones white. I apply this secret recipe to all of my moody presets.
If this preset doesn't work first time a top tip would be to press auto on the light settings to see how the software will adapt the photo. The auto function will try to over-expose the image to compensate for the mood of the preset, so reduce the exposure once you've pressed auto and you should find a nice balance.
This preset can be used on the free Lightroom Mobile APP for iOS and Android, this means you don't have to subscribe to an Adobe Creative Cloud plan to use it, and it will look amazing if you are editing on mobile or tablet.
